Driver/Labourer

Torrent Trackside, part of Vp plc, is hiring a driver/labourer at Lichfield. Starting and finishing at the depot, the driver spends most of the day delivering and collecting rail plant around the region, checking and logging damage and scanning assets on a handheld device, with yard and labouring duties back at base. Night and weekend shifts can involve setting up lighting and operating machines on track.

• Full UK driving licence and multi-drop experience
• Good physical fitness
• Able to pass the Network Rail medical, which the company arranges
• PTS and rail or small plant experience preferred, with training available

Pay and benefits: permanent, 40 hours, usually Monday to Friday days with some nights or weekends and overtime available; 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, company pension, life assurance at 3x salary, free tool hire, share save scheme and training.
