Preventive Maintenance Engineer (HS2)

SMT GB is hiring a preventive maintenance engineer for its HS2 operation, keeping Volvo construction equipment on the southern section of the project safe and available. The field-based role suits someone living around Coventry, Solihull, Birmingham or Warwick. The engineer carries out planned servicing, inspections and machine health checks, writes inspection, service and oil sample reports, and completes product, campaign and software updates.

• NVQ Level 3 in plant maintenance or equivalent (essential)
• Experience servicing construction plant, agricultural machinery, HGVs or similar
• Mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Basic IT skills for tablet-based reporting
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel
