Field Service Engineer

SMT GB is hiring a field service engineer for its customer support team, covering Buxton, Matlock, Chesterfield, Bakewell, Dronfield and the surrounding area. Working alone on customer sites, the engineer services, maintains, diagnoses and repairs Volvo construction equipment, keeps customers updated on machine status and repairs, and records job paperwork in real time.

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in plant maintenance, agricultural engineering, HGV maintenance or a related discipline
• Proven experience repairing heavy construction plant, including diesel engines, hydraulics, drivetrains and electrics
• Strong fault-finding skills and able to work alone in the field
• Full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel and work overtime
