Field Service Engineer (HS2)

SMT GB is hiring a field service engineer for its HS2 operation, supporting Volvo construction equipment on the southern section. The field-based role suits someone living around Coventry, Solihull, Warwick or Birmingham. The engineer services and repairs machines, diagnoses mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and engine faults, and keeps customers and job records up to date.

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in plant maintenance, agricultural engineering, HGV maintenance or a related discipline
• Proven experience repairing heavy construction plant, including diesel engines, hydraulics, drivetrains and electrics
• Strong fault-finding skills and able to work alone in the field
• Full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel and work overtime
