Class 1 Lead Driver Operative

TPA, the Vp plc business providing temporary roadways and rail access across infrastructure, building and event sites, is hiring Class 1 lead driver operatives at its Worksop depot. Drivers work away Monday to Friday in a two-person crew with a portable roadway operative, delivering, installing and recovering roadway panels and other hire kit, and doing daily vehicle, crane and stock checks. Trucks have onboard welfare facilities, and the role is 48 hours a week.

• Class 1 (C+E) licence and current Driver CPC card
• Experience in a similar role; lorry-mounted crane (Hiab) experience is wanted, though training is provided
• Happy to work away Monday to Friday and share the cab
• Must live within commuting distance of the Worksop depot

Pay and benefits: £44,115 starting salary, average on-target earnings of £50,000 including bonus, plus night-out allowances worth around £4,500. Funded Class 1 training for Class 2 drivers, pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays rising to 28.
