Workshop Based Engineer

Pioneer Plant, an authorised Develon construction equipment dealership in Corby, is recruiting an experienced, hands-on Workshop Based Engineer. The role covers Pre Delivery Inspections, machine preparation, and inspecting, servicing, maintaining and repairing Develon machinery from 1-tonne mini excavators to 80-tonne heavy equipment. It is workshop based, with added responsibility for machine arrival inspections and the Yard Operative, and involves working closely with the Service Manager.

• Proven experience as a Service Engineer or similar role in the construction or heavy equipment industry
• Hands-on experience with machinery from 1 to 80 tonnes
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• A relevant qualification in plant maintenance or mechanical engineering, such as an NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent
