Apprentice Fitter Test & Run

GAP Group is offering an apprenticeship in its Survey and Safety division at Trafford Park, Manchester, training to become a test and run fitter. The division hires robotic, GPS and other survey and safety equipment to construction, utilities and infrastructure customers. Apprentices learn to service and repair survey equipment, diagnose errors, calibrate to manufacturer specification and complete calibration certificates.

• 4 National 4s or above
• Interest in construction or plant technology
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication skills

Pay and benefits: £11,000 a year for under-18s on up to 39 hours a week, or £12,000 a year for over-18s on up to 42.5 hours, moving to the National Minimum Wage for the apprentice's age group after year one. Bi-annual bonus, up to 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, contributory pension and life assurance.
