Apprentice Engineer

AFI is taking on an apprentice engineer at its Leeds depot to learn to service and maintain its hire fleet of truck-mounted and powered access machines. Working alongside experienced service engineers, the apprentice inspects, fault-finds and repairs machines, carries out pre-delivery inspections and keeps service records. College study is by block release at F-TEC in Swindon, leading to a Level 3 apprenticeship standard.

• Maths and English GCSEs at grade 4 / C or above, or equivalent
• A practical interest in engineering
• Willing to attend block-release modules in Swindon
• A full UK driving licence, or working towards one, is an advantage
