Plant & Workshop Mechanic

MJL Group is hiring a plant and workshop mechanic at its Cornwall workshop in Scorrier, looking after a fleet of 4,000 plant machines so they stay working and meet current regulations. The mechanic inspects machinery and vehicles, carries out routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake checks and tyre work, diagnoses faults with diagnostic equipment, and repairs or replaces parts including engines, transmissions and electrical systems. Keeping records of repairs and parts used is part of the job.

• Previous experience as a mechanic or similar preferred
• Good understanding of mechanical systems and diagnostic tools
• Qualifications in automotive technology or mechanical engineering an advantage, not essential
• Valid driving licence
