Small Tools Fitter

Chippindale Plant is hiring a small tools fitter at its Huddersfield depot, reporting to the depot manager. The fitter inspects, services and repairs small tools so they are safe to hire, diagnosing faults, checking new equipment before first use and keeping service records. The job also includes PAT testing, basic welding, specialist kit such as hydraulic presses and lifting to LOLER regulations.

• Experience diagnosing and repairing small tools, essential
• Experience of hydraulic systems and basic electrical skills
• NVQ Level 3 in Plant and Machinery or land-based engineering, desirable
• FLT and M&E experience also listed

Pay and benefits: £29,700 to £31,000 a year.
