HGV & Trailer Technician

Collins Earthworks is recruiting experienced HGV technicians for its transport division workshops, with this role based at Ripley. Technicians work on a modern fleet of Volvo trucks, completing inspections and the legal paperwork, preparing class 1 and 2 vehicles for MOT, using computer diagnostics and attending breakdowns and on-site repairs. Shifts run mornings and afternoons, Monday to Friday, plus every other Saturday morning.

• City & Guilds parts 1 and 2, BTEC or equivalent commercial vehicle experience
• IRTEC licence
• Experience on modern heavy commercial vehicles and trailers
• Full UK driving licence, with Class 1 (C+E) an advantage

Pay and benefits: overtime paid at time and a half beyond 40 basic hours, pension, 28 days' holiday including bank holidays, uniform, PPE and training.
