Field Service Engineer

Watling JCB, the JCB dealer, is hiring field service engineers, with a vacancy covering Buckingham, Brackley and Oxford. The engineer diagnoses, services and repairs JCB construction, agricultural, industrial, heavy line and recycling machines at customer sites across the dealership territory, using laptop diagnostics and a PDA to record jobs, and aims for a first-time fix. Hours are 40 a week, 8am to 4.30pm.

• NVQ Level 2 (minimum) in plant engineering, servicing and maintenance
• Experience of hydraulic systems, axles, manual and powershift transmissions and machine electrics, ideally on JCB machines
• Live within 30 minutes of the territory or depot
• Clean driving licence and good driving record

Pay and benefits: Overtime at time and a half for the first 4 hours then double time, paid call-out rota, tool allowance, company van and fuel card, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, life assurance and JCB training.
