Field Service Engineer

Watling JCB, the JCB dealer, is hiring field service engineers, with a vacancy covering Bristol. The engineer diagnoses, services and repairs JCB construction, agricultural, industrial, heavy line and recycling machines at customer sites across the dealership territory, using laptop diagnostics and a PDA to record jobs, and aims for a first-time fix. Hours are 40 a week, 8am to 4.30pm.

• NVQ Level 2 (minimum) in plant engineering, servicing and maintenance
• Experience of hydraulic systems, axles, manual and powershift transmissions and machine electrics, ideally on JCB machines
• Live within 30 minutes of the territory or depot
• Clean driving licence and good driving record

Pay and benefits: Overtime at time and a half for the first 4 hours then double time, paid call-out rota, tool allowance, company van and fuel card, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, life assurance and JCB training.
