Field Service Engineer

SMT GB is hiring a field service engineer for Birmingham and the surrounding area, servicing, maintaining and repairing Volvo construction equipment on customer sites. The engineer diagnoses faults with diagnostic tools, works to quotations and time guides, completes reports, job cards and timesheets as the work happens, and points customers to extra services where useful.

• Engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in plant, HGV or similar
• Proven heavy plant or construction equipment repair experience
• Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skills
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility for overtime and call-outs
• Welding or fabrication experience desirable
