Crane Mechanic / Heavy Plant Engineer

Ainscough Crane Hire is hiring a crane mechanic at Brentwood, Essex to maintain and repair its fleet of mobile cranes. The work covers servicing, inspection and repair, diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic faults, preventative maintenance, breakdowns and service records. Engineers without crane experience are considered, and Ainscough provides the specialist crane training to make the move.

• Background in mobile cranes, agricultural machinery, heavy plant, construction or quarry equipment, HGVs, military vehicles or similar
• Strong mechanical and hydraulic skills
• Experience diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
• Full UK driving licence

Pay and benefits: £18.21 to £19.70 per hour on a 39 hour week, with average earnings quoted at up to £57k. Tool loan scheme, use of a company van, PPE supplied and manufacturer training.
