HGV Class 2 / HIAB Driver and Plant Operator (UKPN Overhead Line contract)

The Clancy Group is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 / HIAB driver and plant operator in Cambridge for its UK Power Networks Overhead Line contract. The role works alongside the Overhead Line gangs on the replacement, installation and removal of poles. Duties include transporting, loading and unloading plant and equipment, operating HIAB and lorry loader equipment, and supporting auger lorry activities where trained and authorised.

• Full UK driving licence, HGV Class 2 / Category C licence and valid Driver CPC
• An appropriate HIAB / Lorry Loader qualification
• Previous experience operating HGVs and lifting equipment, with knowledge of load security and plant transportation
• Experience with excavators, beavertail vehicles or auger equipment is of particular interest
• NRSWA/Streetworks, NPORS or CPCS plant qualifications and utilities or overhead line experience are beneficial
